Glass Details

Welcome to Glass Details!

Glass Details originated from necessity. I became frustrated trying to find jewelry that expressed uniqueness of color, texture, detail and fit. I started making my own. Along the way I learned to fuse, cut and grind glass, make/design my own beads and experiment with stained glass. Working with glass and making jewelry has become a great enjoyment and stress reliever. I enjoy the creative process of designing.

I am not a disciple of the "matching pieces" fashion philosophy. Each piece of jewelry should be its own form of art. It should "work" with or without other pieces. If you stay in a similar color range, all jewelry may be worn together or separately.

I have degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design, Masters in Education, and a Doctorate in Business. I have worked and taught in all of these areas. I attend MAGIC (fashion market) yearly to stay on top of the latest fashions, colors and textures. The interior art pieces (coasters, dishes, etc.) are created by a colleague who first got me interested in glass art. I have helped her create and fuse many of the pieces featured. They are mostly made from recycled glass fired in a kiln so are dishwasher safe. However, I do recommend hand washing only because of the delicacy of some pieces.

All of my selections are one of a kind. They are hand made with care and attention to detail. There are no duplicates of any styles or combinations. Once you purchase one of the pieces...it is gone. It may be replaced by something similar but all pieces are unique. I welcome special orders. I hope you enjoy my creative "stress relievers".
